The 2025 Venice Boat Show has just concluded, and AS Labruna returns home with a list of achievements rich not only in awards, but above all in meaning. From winning the E-Regatta to receiving the prestigious “Venice for the Sea” award, and participating as a key player in three of the most influential conferences in the sector, AS Labruna confirms its status as an international benchmark for sustainable innovation in the maritime industry.
Victory at sea and on land
Our full electric boat triumphed in the E-Regatta, the international challenge for electric boats. It was not just a test of speed, but also of maneuverability, efficiency, and technological reliability. A success that goes beyond the podium: it proves that electric boating is no longer a dream of the future, but a concrete reality. AS Labruna is proud to be not only a builder but also a promoter of real industrial change.
“Venice for the Sea” Award: when vision becomes action
One of the most emotional moments of the entire event was the awarding of the prestigious “Venice for the Sea” prize to Massimo Labruna in the Technological Innovations category. The award itself is a unique piece of art: a glass lion of San Marco made in Murano, infused with gold dust—a symbol of the Serenissima and the craftsmanship that elevates Made in Italy.
The official motivation reads like a mission statement: “For the commitment to promoting the energy transition and enhancing Made in Italy through concrete, innovative, and replicable industrial solutions in Italy and abroad.” A recognition that celebrates AS Labruna’s ability to turn ideas into technology, visions into systems, and prototypes into active infrastructure.
In a world that often speaks of sustainability, this award proves that someone has already begun to build it.
Three conferences. One unique vision.
At the Boat Show, AS Labruna was not just a competitor, but a key speaker and innovation driver, promoting dialogue between institutions, businesses, and local communities. The company brought its contribution to three significant conferences.
Assomarinas – Italy-China: Dialogue on the Future of Ports
AS Labruna demonstrated how Italian technology can set the international standard. The discussion focused on intelligent infrastructures for green, interoperable ports, with fast charging systems powered by renewable sources. The exchange with Chinese stakeholders reinforced AS Labruna’s position as a bridge between innovation and globalization.
Toward Ecological, Energy and Digital Transition
Invited by Assonautica Venezia, Massimo Labruna clearly stated: “The ecological transition is no longer a technological challenge. It’s an infrastructural and cultural one. Technology is ready. We are ready.”
He presented the “intelligent charging islands” project: modular systems powered by BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), HVO, hydrogen and methanol generators.
Charging infrastructures and electric boats in the Lagoon
In a Venice looking to the future, AS Labruna proposed a plan for widespread electrification of the lagoon: fast chargers, smart storage, and public-private cooperation. A practical roadmap to break inertia and accelerate change.
Massimo Labruna, CEO of AS Labruna, said:
“We are here to win, yes. But above all, to build. To build an industry that meets the climate challenge and upholds Italy’s international role. Whoever thinks change is slow—watch us sail.”
With the golden lion in hand and eyes on the future, AS Labruna confirms its role: not only a market leader, but an architect of a sustainable future that is already taking shape.
